Before, during and after clinical treatment, recovery support services help individuals to navigate challenges and work on recovery goals by removing barriers. Recovery support services empower individuals to remain engaged in treatment and/or their recovery process. Support services may include help getting into treatment, identification of relapse behaviors, safe housing, wellness checks and finding a supportive community.

The Fatherhood Initiative Program

SCADD partners with Madonna Place to deliver the Fatherhood Initiative program for fathers in recovery. The goal of this program is to improve the well-being of children by promoting responsible, engaged fatherhood. It is designed to support all fathers and father figures as they build healthy, positive relationships with their children.

The program focuses on increasing meaningful involvement between fathers and their children and helping fathers provide the social, emotional, medical, educational, and financial support their children need to thrive.

Case Management

SCADD partners with the Eastern Region Service Center (ERSC) to offer outreach, engagement, and case management services for individuals living with substance use disorders in Connecticut’s eastern region. Through this collaboration, ERSC case managers provide person-centered care and work alongside each individual to create a recovery plan that reflects their goals, strengths, and needs.

Case managers help clients build the tools needed for meaningful change supporting progress toward stable housing, employment, improved well-being, and greater independence. They also connect individuals with Twelve Step groups, community resources, and other supports that strengthen long-term recovery.

Peer Supports

SCADD Recovery Coaches provide compassionate, strengths-based support to individuals seeking recovery or already working toward a healthier, substance-free life. Acting as personal guides and mentors, our coaches help remove obstacles, build motivation, and empower clients to take meaningful steps toward lasting change.

We support people at every stage whether they are actively using, beginning to explore recovery, or already maintaining sobriety. Our team helps clients reduce harm, stabilize, or stop addictive behaviors in ways that match their goals and needs.

Recovery Coaches also connect individuals with the resources that can make a real difference, including harm-reduction services, detox and treatment options, family support and education, local and online recovery groups, and personalized plans for making positive, sustainable change.
